If things look as if they might be cross contaminated, I avoid them. It is taking a chance but so far, so good. We have eaten at the buffet and I've not had a reaction- I look everything over carefully and stick to boiled shrimp, carved beef, salad - plain veggies. I explain my situation and have had no problem. I have taken a hamburger bun and just ordered a burger at the snack bar. I can get by on a baked potato, not opened or a burger at McDonald's. We may carry items for picnics or sandwiches for lunch since we have a refrigerator available in the room at Harrah s - also a small car refrigerator.Ĭherokee does have a Wendy's and McDonald's. If we stay at the Fairfield across the road I take cereal and/or English muffins with toaster bags and suppliment with what they offer. They do have small refrigerators in the room and DH goes down to the coffee place and gets a cinnamon bun. When this is the case, I take cereal or muffins and have breakfast in the room. If we have free rooms, we stay at Harrah's. Eating out is not the easiest thing to do there but we do manage.
I'm going to Harrah's and I was wondering if anyone has had experience with a gluten free diet at the resort?
